This kind of steel is characterized by having very good mechanical properties, and being easily heattreatable using a simple thermal age-hardening process to obtain excellent hardness and strength.

Ti6Al4V · TC4
Titanium components exhibit a homogeneous, nearly poreless texture, whereby the mechanical characteristic values lie within the range of the material specifications.
Stainless Steel
Characterized by its combination of strength, hardness, and corrosion resistance, 17-4 PH is a stainless steel ideal for a variety of applications—including tooling, molds, and production parts. In its as-sintered state, 17-4 PH material properties consistently meet industry standards.
Nickel Alloy
Inconel 718

Heat and corrosion resistant nickel alloy powder which has been optimized especially for DMLS 3D Printing

Nickel Alloy
Inconel 625
Metal super-alloy with excellent tensile, fatigue, creep, and rupture strength, ideal for high-temperature applications.
Cobalt Chrome
CoCrMoW · SP2
Parts built from EOS CobaltChrome MP1 conform to the chemical composition UNS R31538 of high carbon CoCrMo alloy. They are nickel-free (< 0.1 % nickel content) and are characterized by a fine, uniform crystal grain structure.
Bronze(Cu90Sn10) material is a popular choice in the jewelry and art sectors due to its excellent polishability and visual similarity to precious metals.

Aluminum alloy is the most widely used class of non-ferrous metal structure materials in the industry. Low density but relatively high strength which is close to or beyond high-quality steel and good plastic. With excellent electrical conductivity and corrosion resistance, this aluminum alloy can be processed into various profiles which makes it the industry’s widely used material.

316L steel is a stainless steel material with excellent corrosion resistance and processing hardening properties.

Mold Steel
18Ni300 (1.2709)

18Ni300 is a martensite aging steel that has ultra-low carbon content, high strength, good toughness, excellent weldability, and thermoplasticity.

CX steel is a good corrosion resistance material that heat treatment will not affect too much on manufactured parts.

Post processing for Metal 3D Printing

Standard (no additional post-processing)
  • Expect roughness values of 200 to 400 µin Ra (0.005 to 0.010mm Ra), depending on material and resolution. Support structures are removed and layer lines are visible.

Features Add-Ons Post processing for DMLS/SLM

We offer brushed surfaces in a range of grits and polished mirror finishes. Be sure to indicate if the custom surface finish is for functional or aesthetic purposes so we can best consult you on our custom options.

Additional post processes can be applied to improve the appearance or mechanical properties of parts produced with DMLS/SLM.
