ARNITE® ID3040

ARNITE® ID3040 for Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF) applications combines high heat resistance, dimensional stability and outstanding strength with excellent processing characteristics. It’s one of very few pure PET filaments on the market today, and used to create everything from white goods connectors to automotive sensors.


Arnitel® ID 3040 also gives you good fusion & interlayer strength with great surface qualities. Parts can be coated or painted easily, and can withstand weathering and moisture well. Best of all, Arnitel® ID 3040 doesn’t just boost your manufacturing performance. It’s also kind to the planet, thanks to its easy recyclability.


ARNITE® ID3040 features:

  • Is an open source polyethylene terephthalate (PET) filament

  • Has a higher melting point and lower moisture intake than traditional PETG filaments

  • enabling you to create more accurate 3D-printed parts at higher temperatures with low warpage and better strength and mechanical properties

  • Good fusion & interlayer strength with great surface qualities

  • Parts can be coated or painted easily, and can withstand weathering and moisture well


Packaging

ARNITE®ID3040@DSM is available in the original packaging of DSM.


Additional information

Common fused filament fabrication (FFF) equipment should work with Arnite® filaments, direct drive as well as Bowden type extruders. Typical settings for any slicing software (e.g. Slic3R, Cura, Simplify3D) are listed below. Note that for different nozzle diameters the settings should be changed accordingly.


Storage

In order to prevent moisture pick up and contamination, supplied packaging should be kept closed and undamaged. For the same reason, partially used bags should be sealed before re-storage. Allow the material that has been stored elsewhere to adapt to the temperature in the processing room while keeping the bag closed.
