FormFutura® ApolloX

About The Materials

ApolloX is a modified ASA based 3D printer filament with improved mechanical properties and is suitable for 3D printing mechanical parts and outdoor applications with high precision and zero warping.

Materials Documentations

ApolloX by FormFutura is a modified ASA-based filament. This filament is UV- and weather resistant and thus great for outdoor applications. ApolloX combines a high heat resistance with a superb impact strength.  ApolloX is an industrial-grade ASA enhanced with five other polymers and modifiers. This has resulted in one of the most printer friendly ASA filaments available. ApolloX prints with a precision comparable with injection molding. It exhibits a perfect first- and interlayer adhesion and 3D prints without warping. For larger objects, we recommend printing in a heated chamber. ApolloX is the perfect engineering filament for outdoor and automotive applications.ApolloX profiles are available on the Ultimaker Marketplace. ApolloX is an approved and validated partner material.

General printing guidelines *

Nozzle size: ≥ 0.15mm

Layer height: ≥ 0.1mm

Adhesive: EasyFix Nr. I

Print temp: ± 235 - 255° C

*Fan speed: 0 - 30%

Experience level: Intermediate

Heat bed: ± 80 - 100° C

*Enclosure: Yes, 25 - 30° C

*) Above displayed settings are meant as guidance to find your optimal print settings. These ranges in settings should work for most printers, but please do feel free to experiment outside these ranges if you think it is suitable for your printer. There are a lot of different type of printers, hot-ends and printer offsets that it is extremely difficult to give an overall one-size-fits-all setting.

Strong adhesionApolloX is an engineering-grade material. It is recommended to use an adhesive on your build plate as a protective layer. We recommend to use EasyFix Nr. I as buildplate adhesive. For large(r) prints we recommend to 3D print in a heated chamber.

Compliance *

This filament is compliant to below listed directives and regulations.

  • RoHS directive 2011/65/EC

  • REACH directive 1907/2006/EC

*) This declaration of conformity to directives and regulations is prepared according to our present standard of knowledge and may be amended if new cognitions are available, and applies only for the above described products.
