[Automative] Case study of introduction by an automobile parts manufacturer

Updated: Oct 27, 2022

This time, we will introduce an introduction example of an automobile parts manufacturer (Japan).

In the past, inspection jigs with complicated shapes were manufactured by aluminum cutting, but it takes a long time to manufacture, so it is possible to shorten the manufacturing time by outputting with a 3D printer (INTAMSYS FUNMAT PRO 410). Has been successful.

(The photo below is when PolyLite ABS is used.) PolyLite ABS has high strength and impact resistance, and warpage and odor during printing are minimized.

In addition, by using a 3D printer instead of cutting consumable parts of our own production equipment, we can shorten the lead time so that even if the parts are broken, we can work immediately and there is no delay in operation. It has been done. 3D printers are also used for the development and trial production of production equipment.
